Cumbrian Morning, Martindale
Photographed at Martindale in the dales behind Ullswater in the English Lake District.
Surely one of the least used phone boxes in Britain nestles against a cottage, its red complementing beautifully the lush green of the pastures.
I was thunderstruck by the beauty of this place and the way the light constantly changed as the shadows of clouds swept across the sides of the fells. I don’t think I’ve ever been as captivated with a place as I was with the Lake district. Its a “me” place!

Post production: almost nothing. A tiny amount of highlight recovery, slight tweak to vibrance (NOT saturation) of colour. Yes, the grass is that green!
